Some of the finest snorkeling in Costa Rica can be found right here in Las Catalinas. The best spots are wherever you see rocks: the far side of Playa Dantita, the reef in between Danta and Dantita, along the shore of Punta Penca, and at the Islotes Pitahayas (small islands) just offshore.

You’ll find lots of reef fish, big spotted eagle rays, sea turtles, coral, and interesting underwater topography.

You have the option to bring your equipment, rent in town, or elevate your experience with a guided tour.
